New Exhibition at MCNY

Gallery Stock’s archival collection, The Museum of the City of New York, will be showcasing their new exhibition, The Greatest Grid: The Master Plan of Manhattan 1811-2011, now through April 15.

The exhibition celebrates the 200th anniversary of the Commissioners plan that established Manhattan’s famous grid that we see today. FeaturingĀ originalĀ Maps, photographs, and prints of the early nineteenth century, The Greatest Grid examines the implementation and evolution of a project which the New York Times describes as, “not just a landmark in urban history but in many ways the defining feature of the city.”
